About Steiros®, LLC

Mission

Steiros®, LLC is an infection care consulting company founded to prevent infections in medical facilities and among the population at large. Our goal is preventing and eliminating infections in a safe, simple, and cost effective way. Our clinically proven Steiros Algorithm® and SteiroLotion™ eliminates infection problems and outbreaks through novel protocols and education addressing infection treatment, infection prevention and antibiotic stewardship. We are the experts at solving all your infection control problems.

What we do

Steiros® LLC is the first infection control consulting company with a clinically proven global environment method to reduce Hospital Acquired Infections (HAI’s) resulting in better patient outcomes and lower costs*. Founded in 2008 by Dr. Luke R. Watson MD, and Dr. Alfonso Torress-Cook, Steiros developed a global infection control and prevention algorithm, The Steiros Algorithm®, that has been clinically proven to reduce the occurrence of HAI’s by up to 100%. This includes those caused by multi-drug resistant micro-organisms like MRSA. The Steiros Algorithm®, complies with all federal and state laws and standards.

Along with our clinically proven Steiros Algorithm®, comes our product SteiroLotion™. Traditionally, most hospital and patient cleaning processes were preformed using soap and water; however, as health care reimbursements have been ever decreasing, this was ultimately not cost effective. We eventually decided to develop our own products. Our rinse free, residual first aid antiseptic formula is a great alternative to bathing when caring for patients in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, and other health care environments, or for at-home use. SteiroLotion is perfect for personal cleansing when soap and water are not available. SteiroLotion cleans and disinfects cuts, scrapes and burns, helping to prevent skin infections.

Dr. Luke Watson

Dr. Watson developed a deep interest in preventing hospital acquired infections (HAI’s) while working with Epidemiologist Alfonso Torres-Cook, PhD, Director of Infection Control. Their mutual desire to help save patient’s lives led to the development of a global environmental cleaning algorithm called The Steiros Algorithm®. “”Antibiotic resistant bacteria present an ever increasing danger both in hospitals and to the population at large. We at Steiros believe that prevention is the key to reversing the trend in antibiotic resistance and keeping people healthy. We’ve dedicated our lives to the health and wellbeing of the hospitalized and general population. We want to keep people healthy, and save lives.” – Dr.Watson” *To learn more, visit our “Studies” page

Steiros Algorithm®

The Steiros Algorithm ® is an infection control and prevention algorithm that has been clinically proven to reduce hospital acquired infections by up to 90%. The Steiros Algorithm ® is turnkey, cost efficient solution to hospital acquired infections. By enhancing present cleaning practices and changing isolation methodologies with the Steiros Algorithm®, facilities have experienced both a major reduction in infections and cost savings. Implementation of the Steiros Algorithm® will automatically bring facilities into 2011 Joint Commission (JC) and DNV compliance.

To learn more about the Joint Commission compliance, visit https://www.jointcommission.org/about_us/about_the_joint_commission_main.aspx To learn more about DNV compliance, visit http://dnvglhealthcare.com/certifications/managing-infection-risk The Steiros Algorithm® rapidly reduces hospital acquired infection rates caused by all pathogens in all patient care areas throughout the facility, not just ICU’s and not by simply targeting specific types of infections such as MRSA. This leads to dramatic improvement in patient outcomes, and increased quality of care while concurrently reducing the cost of medical care.
